Iam suprised there has been no mention on this or any other forum regarding Euro 1080 hd leaving astra sat and going to eutelsat. My subscription was supposed to last until 2010 and as I dont have a moveable dish i now have no 1080,I have e-mailed their help desk twice and they have not even bothered to reply. Anyone else out there concerned about this.

Presumably they aren't making a huge amount of money now that there are regular, higher budget, HD channels out there.

AIUI Euro1080 is operated by Alfacam, who are an Outside Broadcast truck provider based in Belgium, who were one of the early HD adopters, and were frustrated that a lot of their HD output wasn't available to view in HD in Europe - so they started up their own channels to distribute the stuff they'd worked on.

It was a good idea - and some of the content is technically excellent - however the mix of content is a bit random...

Suspect they don't have that many active subscribers in the UK these days?

ahhhhhh
i wondered where that had gone too
i had the demo channel with the helicopter stuff
explained now! I will re scan the sucker
