So the one tonight on Skyone is the 3rd episode and not the first?!?
(Oh man, why am I always late... :suicide: )
Any offers of a second chance e.g. on E4 or others in order to catch up?

Not heard much about this but the trailers look interesting so set my Sky+ on it.

Whats the babe quotientTM like on a scale of 1-10?

Harmless nonsense, babe less and hunk less.
Better than emmerdale, corry, eastenders but not by much.
Worse than Dr. Who, The 4400 (despite that being all no-talent scientologists), Surface, Stargate Atlantis.

Shot on a really poor quality equipment by the looks of it.

So you have already seen it. I thought the first episode (the pilot) was on tonight on Sky. Hope I haven't missed it!

My post was really directed at pjclark1, who, I seem to remember from his postings on this forum, doesn't believe in watching anything that is not 100% genuine and owned by himself - he doesn't even borrow. My apologies if I have got the wrong impression, but I was wondering how he could judge something that has not been shown in the UK. Maybe he is in the USA, so once again, apologies if I'm wrong.

well, just watched episode one Sky and it was definitely worth watching, good bit of fun, its almost a parody of 4400 type series...heh

funny script, good ideas, sciencey stuff, couple of nice femme fatales and it didnt make you feel like it was dragging at any point.....8/10

look forward to next week :)

Totally enjoyed it and given that some of the opinions on US screenings point to an improvment then we have something really good to look forward too.
Good bunch of characters both whacky, bizarre and well grounded although thankfully the daughter doesn't look like she will be a long term "brat".

From an asthetic point of view I have no complaints over the main female characters, something for everyone and the Marshall is beefcake (if that is your thing) although hard to tell him and Brad Chase (Boston Legal) apart:)

The show looked and sounded excellent in HD as well, very nice bonus considering the US Scifi channel is still only SD.

I also thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm a bit puzzled about Matt Frewer's accent, though (maybe this was explained whilst I was out of the room feeding a very forceful cat!). Lots of fun to watch, think it will keep us guessing about some characters. Must admit I thought the daughter would turn out to be a genuis and save the day - glad that didn't happen!

I don't have HD so can't compare, but the picture quality looked fine to me via a Sky dish and 26 inch bog-standard wide screen tv.

    http://www.scifi.com/eureka/cast/jim/

Jim Taggart is Eureka's "biological containment specialist." If it walks, talks, eats, breathes, or bleeds, it falls within Taggart's domain. A big brute of an Aussie (or so he claims), Taggart often butts heads with the sheriff and townsfolk who refuse to appreciate the delicate and unique wildlife situation in Eureka. Luckily for Carter, Taggart knows every breed of animal, bird, and insect like the back of his hand — and he's got the tools to handle any situation.

Show seems to me like a bit of harmless fluff to entertain me ;), nothing to go mad about but nice, solid entertainment.

So not sure if his drift into what sounded like South African may have been deliberate or just a poor accent:)

It was Ok but hardly quality entertainment. Definetly summer schedule type of programming.
