Ethernet Switch reccomendation.

Hey guys.
Long story short, several of my Homeplugs have failed, and I'm switching to Cat6 after checking prices of 200mb/1gb homeplugs.
The plan is to run cables, via ceiling or carpet, from the first floor office to two upstairs bedrooms and the living room.
The living room needs two connectors (Freesat iPlayer and family PC).

Currently, I'm running a Livebox, with one port going to the office pc, and the second port being unplugged and switched depending on which machine is in use.

This is not ideal.

I'm trying to decide between either getting a 4 port switch/hub, or buying a WRT54G, which I've wanted for a while, and running one of the bedrooms on wifi.

Any ideas or suggestions of a switch?

Thanks in advance

Michael.

For Gigbit wired I use Netgear GS605.

Thanks :D
So do I just connect one cable in, then 4 out, to that?
