    Hi there,

whilst watching a film on my Denon 3800 on Saturday, the film froze halfway through. The display on the DVD itself started to Flash 'Error 04'

The unit would not let me do anything, apart from press the power button, then turn it back on again, it would not recognise any commands from any other button on the unit or remote control.

I checked the manual for the errors and ' Error 04 ' is not listed anywhere.

Does anyone know what this error means?

    Thanks in advance.

    Annatar,

Not seen that error before, try dropping Denon UK support an email at denon.consumer.support@denon.co.uk and see what they say...

    Also, what film was it?

    Let us know the outcome...

As have I in the passed. The disc was checked once it was removed and it was spotless.

Once placed back in, it played through this part flawlessly.

I was just interested in why the machine locked up like this, and what the 'Error 04' was.
