i have a hitachi pd5200 plasma and monitor audio studio 20se floorstanders i would like to use in a 5.1 set up, i listen to quite a lot of music and watch tv via sky+, i was thinking of :
    yamaha ax757se amp,
    cambridge audio cd 640c v2,
    toshiba dvd sd350e

I am a bit stumped on the speakers, more monitor audio?Bronze range or Mission,Tannoy....etc. I want a system that will sound good with music but perform well with sky+/dvd's. Budget is around 1000/1300 quid.
    Any advice /suggestions/comments gratefully received.......:lease:

p.s. Listening room is quite a big barn conversion with double height ceiling.fyi.

That amps no good for those speakers. You need a much more capable amp.

I would suggest the GR-LCR if you can find one, or the GS-LCR if you can't. Then either bronze or silver range rears, be it standard bookshelfs or bipolars.

Just noticed the size of room/budget.... You should consider a second hand amplifier i think.
