    Hi,

Thanks for the PM, I'll try to deal with everything tonight. It wasn't registered by me but the original purchase date and remaining warranty is mentioned further up. I can forward the original purchase receipt email as part of the sale.

    Best
    Greg

Hi Greg, the purchase email will suffice, you can send that to me at a later date when it suits you and I will transfer the warranty then with Epson, thanks for confirming.

As soon as you send me the details needed for the BT and courier I will organise both.

    Many thanks,
    D

I don't know, it's just a newer finish. I'm not an expert on it I'm afraid.

    It's a silvery grey.

    Oh ok...
I have a 92" TT Grandview in matte white and using with an Optoma UHD300X.
I have tried a (cheap) grey screen and noticed two things: 1. There was a definite "shimmer" effect on bright areas e.g. whites or sky etc and 2. The overall picture was "uncomfortably" darker than the white screen...Is the Draper screen like that at all?
Room is basically all white barring my TV wall which is light grey and i'm about 3m from screen . Do you have any links to your screen, pics etc?

I started with a Grandview and was really disappointed (similar pale lounge). There's no shimmer and a huge leap in contrast. You get what you pay for, for sure.

    If I may chime in,

Guys, I really find it extremely difficult to understand why this screen has not sold yet. I would be all over it if I did not have one already.

Below is a photo of the non-calibrated picture TW9300W (which I bought from Greg on this very thread) throws onto my 104" Draper React screen.
This is in our living room with white ceiling and light coloured walls, only the wall behind the screen is darker brown.
I am happy with the upgrade from TW7300 to TW9300 and you can see an advantage of blacks and contrast over the TW7300 (which was configured with the same settings for comparison purposes). Probably obvious, but for clarity TW9300 on the left, TW7300 on the right half of the screen.

However, the improvement when going from a white screen to a Draper React is way more significant (i.e. massive) than when upgrading a projector, in fact React screen was the biggest improvement I have seen in our living room and well worth the money, especially at 2nd hand prices.
I previously had to sell on a white Grandview Cyber screen (£700 RRP) and kept a cheap grey screen (RRP £120) as the white screen in our living room resulted in a unbearably poor contrast and blacks...it was just really bad combination (i.e. need a batcave for a white screen to function well)

Unless you have a batcave, do not hesitate and Greg is also a great guy to deal with!

How are you getting on with shipping? Where are you, I could get a work van and drive it to you for the diesel money?

    Interesting...

I might be able to offer either of those, brand new, as a straight swap. I'm due an upgrade (on EE) but am happy with my current phone.

A couple of uncertainties though. One is that I'd need to check whether it would fit in the house I'm about to move into - I'll know that on Friday. 95% sure it will.

The other is getting it: I'm based in Hampshire. If you'd be happy to meet on the M1 somewhere around Luton, I could rent a van and come meet you.

    Great, I'm happy with that.

Do we have a deal then, pending confirmation on Friday that I can accommodate it in the new house? Straight swap for a brand new S10+ or Xperia 1?

I've confirmed via PM that I can accommodate the PJ screen and have arranged collection, so I'm afraid so!
