Overall the Epson EH-TW9000 is certainly a very capable projector that offers a bright, pleasing and accurate image, regardless of whether the content you are watching is 2D or 3D. It also offers good value of money and is more than capable of holding its own in a crowded and competitive market place. If you're looking for a projector in the sub-£3,000 bracket, you should certainly consider giving the EH-TW9000 a demo. Highly Recommended.

Great review steve :smashin:, im loving my tw6000 but wishing id waited for the tw9000 now , i have seen the 9000 in action at ideal av and there was quite a leap in black levels to my eyes(thanks allan) , i didnt notice the pq being significantly better but quite possibly would if it was done side by side .
Now where is that wallet lol.

We don't give out detailed calibration settings because they will be specific to the the projector we were reviewing and our viewing environment. However the Natural colour mode was pretty accurate right out of the box and a brightness setting of +1, a super-resolution setting of +2 and just about everything else off or centred should get you in the ball park.

Nice unit - and cheaper than X30 - great!

Just how fast are these new 480Hz panels? How close do they come to the motion handling (2D) of a DLP??

actually if you buy the X30 in 2d mode at £2595 rrp its cheaper than the Epson 9000.;)

i`ve have not seen any motion handling problems with the 9000 at all, great pj.

      yeah

we have had a price reduction with the X30 in the uk, in 2d option they are £2595 and with the 3d pack they are £2995 so as you say the same price as the 9000W.

Hi had a demo a few months back with ideal av , having owned a couple of jvc and Panasonic pj's and currently owning a panny 5000 it's put me off watching my panny , the clarity and brightness off this pj are outstanding was really blown away by it ,, think the screen was a dnp supernova ??
Anyway , been all around the country auditioning and demoing different pj's and av kit spent a lot off money and effort to get the best results I impossibly can with my budget and can honestly say the demo I had at ideal by Allen was by far the best demo bar none and Iv had a lot of demo's .. Very impressive , very relaxed , no sale talk and as much time as you want to play with allen's incredible setup .

Allan Thank you very much for your expertise and valuable time .

Don't usually put posts up like this , but was overly impressed by Allan ..:smashin::smashin:
