Epson TW6600 replacement - HD to 4k upgrade

I appreciate there are a few similar threads but just wanted some input/advice.

My room is c 3.5m x 4.5m, dark blue matt walls, dark carpet and white matt ceiling. Decent blackout blinds, so fairly dark.

I current have a Epson TW6600 projecting onto a fixed frame 120" screen.

I'm looking to upgrade to 4k (and appreciate the Epsom 4k isnt native 4k and uses a pixel shift to achieve it)

I'm a little concerned that the natural choice i would have gone for have a lower contrast ratio than the current PJ although it is brighter.

Model
Contrast
Lumens
TW6600
70,000:1
2500
TW7000
40,000:1
3000
TW7100
100,000:1
3000
TW9400
1,200,000:1
2600

Interested in any feedback regarding would you expect to see a noticeable difference going from the 6600 to the 7000 in terms of black quality etc or should i consider the 7100 or is the 9400 the one to go for?

Many thanks

The natural progression unit would be the TW7100 and not the 7000 due to the features. It looks like Epson have reduced the 7000's ability to bring in 4k ability option at its pricepoint which I suspect is why its contrast ratio is deplete in comparison to yours

So if you are wanting to bring an improvement to what you are using at home, then the TW7100 is the correct model to upgrade to. However if you are looking for than just a basic upgrade, then the TW9400 or even our warehouse deal TW9300 are the models to look at. Now these units are quite a bit larger than the model you are using, but with a better lenses, the differences should allow you to see why these models were and are so popular with many people
