Yes - just seen this. Does look like a bargain. I'm thinking about replacing my 5 year old Panny PT-AT6000e. Does anyone know how they might compare? Review seems to mention that the black levels on the Epson aren't great.

And does anyone know anything about the lens memory / shift on this model? I have a 2.39:1 screen and rely very heavily on that feature on the Panasonic.

I have the previous model the TW7300 and the lens memory feature is very good. You can save up to 10 settings so I have 2.40, 2.20, 2.00, 1.85 and 1.78 saved in my memories. The only thing I would say is that the memory does drift slightly over time so it doesn't end in the same spot everytime but it doesn't bother me enough to keep adjusting it. I can't comment on the black levels compared to the Panny as I've never seen them. Don't forget with Amazon you can always return if you are not happy with the way it looks.

More of a side step than an upgrade, you take a hit on colours, but the image will be sharper.

9400 is the upgrade path from the panny6000e.

Thanks for both replies. That's very useful.

I'm considering it mainly because my projector is getting old and they don't last forever. If I'm not really going to see any improvement, I might wait until there's a deal on the 9400, though. I have until midnight to decide!

I've also been waiting what seems like forever for first the 9300 to be in the sale, it never happened, and now the 9400, and yet Amazon sold the 7300 for £899 last winter and similar the 7400 seems to be regularly on sale but never it's big brother:(
