Have recently acquired a projector from this forum and I'm hoping a friend who has a background in electronics may be able to repair it for me.

Was given it free so am prepared to spend a reasonable amount on getting it fixed but wondered (based on the pictures) if it's going to be worth it or not.

The previous owner tried to fix it and in doing so damaged the ribbon cable from the polariser to the mainboard and was unable to reassemble it.

Does the green screen mean a new polariser? Is replacing one of these relatively simple for someone with half decent training in repairing electronics (albeit not in the projector field)?
