Epson 9300W powers down

Last night after 4 years of faultless service my Epson 9300W powered off I started it again and 20 mins later it turned off again, this happened around another 3x each around 20 mins duration so I turned it off for 15 mins then restarted and it went for the rest of the evening without any problems
I cleaned the filter recently, the projector is 4 years old and the lamp has done 2000 hours, I'm thinking it maybe the lamp Epson help centre suggested this but also said it could be the main board. Has anyone else experienced these problems?
It may of course go on for a a while now ith no further problems but if the lamp is going I'm not sure what to look out for

I am no expert but what about thermal cut off? There is usually error codes you can see from the leds, check your manual it should have something

Lamps need more current and run hotter as they age. A lamp change should cure this.
