as title says !!!!!
We got 300 copies in our retail store today....very odd getting a new release (particularly such an important, if rubbish, one)so early.
Just checked the status on my Ep 3 order at Play and it also saying "Packing". Wonder when I'll get it ?
My R1 was despatched by Play USA on Saturday. Haven't received it yet though...
Wont it have french text on the cover or dont you care about stuff like that?
Whilst some of my R1 DVD's have some French text on the covers, neither The Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones or my EP4-6 box set has anything other than English on so I don't suspect ROTS will either.
I guess there is a chance you will be ok but I heard that PlayUSA are stocking more and more Canadian releases and it has been mentioned that the Canadian release of Episode 3 does have french text on the cover.
I will post when it's received.
If it is the Canadian version (and most if not all of PlayUSA's stuff is) then it does have a bilingual cover. It's most evident on the spine.
Just spoke to my better half who is at home and my R1 EP3 DVD arrived today
I asked her to look at the cover and she confirms as you guys suspected that it does have both English and French text on the cover.
This doesn't bother me in the slightest and I wouldn't have thought anything of it TBH as many of the R1 discs I have are like this. However I'm intersted to know (for future reference) who supplies "American" R1 discs rather than "Canadian"? How about CD Wow?
Movietyme only stock US Editions and Axel Music stock both US and Canadian but have flags next to the different editions so you can tell them apart.
I am not sure about CDWow as its been along time since I ordered a R1 release from them, use them mostly for R3.
You could try DVDPacific, they are in Miami and have some quite good prices.
I used to use DVDsoon but they screwed me over on the loyalty card and free shipping. Now their free shipping applies to orders of $39.99 or more including 3 or more titles where one has free shipping listed on it. I wouldn't be surprised if it added, "only on the last Tuesday of every alternate month".
DVDpacific are good, not the fastest to the UK but cheaper than some.
SW EP3 is currently £13.85 all up inc postage to UK at "pacific" as opposed to £15.30 from DVDsoon and forget about Movietyme who seem to have the idea that the UK DVD buying public are used to being ripped off and have priced it at £15.99. gonna be cheaper at Tesco.
To be fair Movietyme always charge more for a DVD before its official release, after next week it will probaley drop to £15 or £14 which is about average.
Now DVDs Limited charging £18.99 for Episode 3, thats a rip off
Okay thanks for info. I'll take a look at these later, once I've finished flicking through my EP3 disc
I mainly order R3 from CDWoW....but the handful of R1 discs I have ordered from them have all been US releases.

So we are 69p more expensive for US product than a Canadian site and we are "ripping people off" ?
Sorry but you have no clue how much we have to pay for product, plus overheads of billing UK customers in £ so you do not have a % surcharge etc etc etc.
We try our best at all times.
Woohoo, turned up this morning from Play!
The saga... is complete. :arty:
With the same shipping as Movietyme its nearly the same price, if your happy to wait up to 3 weeks, fair enough. Also I'm sure Movityme will have this on Same Day despatch at some stage which means next day delivery - Worth a couple of pence for better service me think. Mention Alias S4 which is same price as Pacific at Movietyme and recieved the next day
Tesco 17.26, unless ordering from Jersey which is obviously no VAT so cant do much about that.
Got mine for a tenner from Axel music, but will be heading over to M/Tyme for most of my other releases.
Got mine today too!
Only thing is that we are self building a new house and are currently living in a caravan! No cinema to watch film in.
