    Hi,

    What did you think?.

    Spoiler;
Enjoyed it, how did archer get on the planet?. So the timeline has changed!, should be interesting next season. The ending, with the germans and the alien face reminded me a little off sliders series.

Personally I think this has been one of the best sci-fi series in years.

Actually it was one of the best shows on TV, never mind just as a sci-fi series.

The ending was definitely "What the :censored: is happening?"

Sets it up for an explosive start to the new series.

Highlight the followingIt was a great series , but didn't they already do a cliff hanger with archer stuck in another time and we already know how he got out of that

Yeah, but in this case it's not just Archer, it's everybody.

I have really enjoyed the whole series and cant wait for the next. My only problem is the odd time when there is a totally pointless episode

Really enjoyed the series aswell - it was great to see Earth actually kicking some arse instead of all the usual Federation softly softly stuff.
But the Ending what the fudge ?? Have they gone back in time if so why didnt the Xindi ship that dropped them off also go back in time??

Okay I have a question. But it's a spoiler of sorts:

That alien at the end of the episode - have we seen his species before? He looked very familiar. I thought for a moment that it was because he reminded me of the Master in series 1 of "Buffy" - but then I thought I remembered seering an alien previously who also reminded me of the Master.

There is alot of talk on Trek forums about the Alien seen at the end being a Reman but personally I dont think he looks like one going by what they look like in Nemesis but I guess it is possible, will have to wait and see.

I thought the ending was rubbish!
They obviously couldn't think of anything good so used the old 'escape all' and put a time shift in......again.

As for when the shuttle craft flew down to San Fancisco, he said: "it all looks normal enough".
Oh really! So San Francisco in 1940 looks no different to several hundred years later?
    Very lame.

    And the alien?
How are they going to tie that in with the reality of the 2nd world war?
Oh wait, it's easy, they'll just change the timeline....again...

How do you know it's 1940...? For all we know, WWII may still be going on...OR maybe the NAZI's won WWII? So many possibilities, to say the ending was rubbish without actually thinking about it is a bit harsh, don't you think...? All we do know is it's not the Earth they left...

True, I hadn't considered those possibilities.
Still think using time is an easy cop out for writers.
Why don't they just 'slingshot around the sun' as Kirk did several times and go back and kill Degra before he builds his weapon and the whole Xindi thing will never/would never have happened...

Oh, and if it wasn't 1940 then why were there WWII propellor aircraft?

Funny you should say that, since seeing the episode last week I was convinced there was no way they could actually win (which there wasn't if the Xindi hadn't turned up for no reason).

    My first thought when Archer
    was blown up
    was that he'd
    manage to survive
by making a quantum leap in the nick of time

I could be a script writer at this rate :)

I think the fact that there are so many questions which no one can answer for certain is what makes a good cliff-hanger. Are they in the past or are they in the present, if they are in the present then what has happened, who is responsible and why have they done this? I for one cant wait to see how they resolve it.

Talking about Quantum Leap, does anyone know the cheapest place that is selling Season 1, I have found it at DVDSoon for about £17.30 but that is very close to the customs limit and by the time they come to ship it out it could have gone over the limit, but the second best price I can find is £26.99 sent from within the UK, anyone know of any sites selling it for around £20 who arent known to customs?

I think that is a likely scenario and now that the gallant Americans on board Enterprise along with a few allies have destroyed the Weapon of Mass Destruction they are now are about to liberate the world from the clutches of the evil alien and his lapdog, Adolf Hussein.

After the Americans have saved us all from evil (by episode 3) the contracts for rebuilding the world will be handed out to relatives of Commander Tucker and Lieutenant Reed

I'm not sure Ian's so off the mark with it. It was certainly made at a time when America was into this anti-terrorist supremacy thing and it would be easy to stick a bit of propaganda into something innocent like Star Trek. ;)

Thus far "Enterprise" has been pleasantly free of propaganda, actually. The message is "after 9/11 you should find out who was responsible and then make friends with them instead of blowing them up".

Yes, I commented on that to the wife - the fact that everyone on Enterprise seems willing every time to turn the other cheek when we know in the real world it's not exactly like that.

    I think you're all wrong.

They'll use that old, old standby "It was all just a dream".

Archer will wake up from some pretty nasty nightmare and think it's all over/never happened. Only to discover something else really nasty is on the way to destroy the earth.

    Or something like that.

    Simple really.

Well it worked in Dallas didn't it?

    :D

    CL

BTW Wasn't that Alien (at the end) a Xindi? Or possible descendant of?

    No.

It does look very like a Reman, though.
