    Hi Guys,

Sorry But I've just got to post and say thanks to all the peeps on this forum.

I got my HD5H last week and my Shure E4s arrived today.

I was initially disappointed with the sound of the E4s as compared to my old Sennheiser HD570's which sound really warm and laid back in comparison (the stock Sony earphones do not warrant a mention), but I have persevered with the Shures and now cant take the big grin off my face; they seem to be sounding better and better the more I listen.

    I'm listening as I type :D

I know that there are are some gripes with the Sony..particularly Sonicstage; but it's not bad once you get used to it.

Anyway thanks to all the posters...I probably wouldn't have got this kit without the wealth of knowledge on this forum.

Shadow - I have a friend who can get me the Shure's for $150 USD and am wondering how much of a difference it really makes versus the stock buds? Also, did you get the white or black color?

    Thanks

Sorry - meant enjoy the player, rather than the phones.

Can't wear stuff like Shure ... fall out of my ears too easily.

    Apologies for confusion.

I don't say this lightly as the Shure's are a significant investment, but for me the difference was night and day. I dare say even the most tone deaf will notice.

I do not think you will be disappointed, But my reference point was my Sennheisers that I have been using generally for years

I went for the black ones as they look better with my HD5H. :)

Nothing more flash than an inexpensive pair of Sony MDR-J20s. Do everything I need them to for just £15!
