Hey guys.

Went out and bought a 7 series LA40A750 today. The network feature is fantastic (however the way the TV organises all the video files is horrible if you have more than about 10 files, haha).

I was wondering if there was a way you can hack on some more codecs? I'd love to be able to play .mkv movies on the LCD over the network (so I don't have to worry about buying/building/running an HTPC or something).

Any ideas?

No.

If you want MKV support, I would take it back and get a B650 instead. It does everything the A750 does and more.

You should have researched before purchasing the A750.

PS3 Media Server = works perfect for .mkv's.

Full 1080p streamed over the network = win.

Cheers though.
