Has anybody else noticed that the Emmerdale picture has gone a lot sharper.
Anybody know why ?
Is this the way of all future broadcasts ?
Not sure I like it too much to be honest, looks a bit too sharp.

...wondered what saying EE all the time meant, thought it was just a northern expression...

In post production a technique called FRV is used which (I believe) removes some frames per second from the original to produce the effect that they've used on Brookside for some time.

I thought they had moved from videoing it to using film. It seems to have lost that studio effect. You can notice this in other programs when they switch from indoors to outdoors.

Also do I detect some blurring for instance on a close up on someone’s head if they turn fast the picture seems to try and catch up(this could be the TV processing as I only see the program whilst round at my parents).

Looks like Cheers or something like that Or that my son has been going round with our camcorder terrible.
