HI guys, just wanted to know if you can help with this problem. How do i open the car door when the lock is frozen. There was some frost on wednesday and i couldn't turn the key in the lock of my mum's fiat punto. Is there anyway of opening when there is heavy frost.

(i managed to open it by opening the boot and managing to unlock one of the rear doors but there must be an easier way, and a better way to open your car door without looking like your braking in):D

Used to ge this in my Cinquecento a while back, took to heating the key for a few minutes with a cigarette lighter and then unlocking quickly.

cover the lock over with a rag to protect it from the cold.
