Email provider for my phone suggestions??

Can any of you recommend a email provider that works well on mobile phones.
I was going to use one of my home email addresses but thought it might be a better idea to have a separate one for my phone.

Any suggestions welcome.

Gmail is the obvious answer.

Yes gmail, they support POP3 and IMAP . There is a custom client for java handsets which have no email client. It works with Blackberry and Exchange. So all handsets are covered.
