eMachines v700: how to get it 3D?

Dear readers,

I stumbled upon this forum by searching with Google, so here goes nothing....

I own a eMachines V700-projector. 3D ready. I can choose between nVidia 3D Vision and DLP 3D.

I have no clue if it actually works, since I don't see any shifting in the image once I choose to play the Blu Ray 3D Disc in DLP-mode..?

So the main question is: how do I make it work, and even more important: which glasses do I need? The guys at beamershop24 have no clue what they're talking about, even deny that the projector is 3D-ready (then why does it offer two 3D-options in its menu....?)

Answers are very much appreciated.
Thank you!:)

it looks like it works similar to 3d ready projectors such as the optoma hd67, if this is the case you can go the glasses and emitter route which will be the niveda setup and you will need a home theatre pc with the necessary software on board for it to work. The other route will be dpilnk and for this to work if its similar to the hd67 you will need a convertor box such as the 3dxl and a 3d bluray player. I checked optoma site though and i dont see this projector on their list of compatible models.

You wont be able to just connect a 3d bluray player to your projector and get glasses and hey presto 3d.

I've got this projector and use a computer with a nvidia 3d vision set up.
You need to trick the computer into thinking the projector is an Acer so you need to be reasonably pc savvy.
As it's basically an Acer H5360 the 3DXL should work if you want an easier option.

the thing is: i don't use it for games or via the computer, it only needs to play stuff from my blu ray 3d-player (Philips BDP7500).. :-(

well you wont get 3d untill you get something like the 3dxl to convert the 3d bluray picture into something the projector can understand

Hello I have the V700 emachines DLP 3d ready projector with gtx660 geforce nvidia 3d vision GPU.
I m trying so many days to make it work.
I made a custom resolution 1280x720 at 100hz wich is the higher of this projector as I read on the manual.
I add manually the acer H5360 inf driver, so my pc think that my projector is this model ( I read it on other forums that worked).

When I try to test my 3D guide from Cpanel of my GPU Card settings, then the screen goes black(flickering etc) and I need to press Alt+F4 to see again.

It seems that this 3D vision module is working on 120hz as I can understand. But I read that I can see Via DLP option of my projector with 100hz.

Please can anyone help on this?

Ignore the manual, the v700 works fine at 120hz.How is the pc connected to the projector ?

No, all I've ever done is go into the nvidia contol panel and set up stereoscopic 3d, if the gpu recognises the v700 as the H5360 (via the inf) it will the output to 120hz 1280x720 automatically. I've never had to set up a custom resolution.

It's there a possibility the length of the hdmi cable is the problem?I'm using a 15m hdmi cable.

Could be, if everthing works until the gpu switches to120hz the first thing I would do is try another cable. I'm using a 5m dvi to hdmi.

So you are saying that you have v700 with a 5m cable and when you put 120hz the projector shows normal?

After I'd changed the inf/edid for the projector and plugged in the 3d ir box I just went into nvidia control panel and used set up stereoscopic 3d. I can now watch 3d blurays and play 3d games with a 5m cable and a v700.

I've used a gt450 and a gtx650.Good luck ! HTPCs can be very frustrating. The 3d is excellent when you get it working.

Finaly I made it with a shorter cable..The problem was the very long HDMI cable I was using. Thank you for your help. I also noticed that the glasses 3dvision (old glasses) are very flickering at 120hz but when I m using 3dvision 2(new ones) it is ok. Unfortunatelly I cant use it like this because the projector is on the roof and my pc can not fit there... :(
