They were rated 5 stars in What Hi-fi, if that means anything to you.

But I really like them too. I'm just wondering if this price drop perhaps means an upgrade to them coming soon?

i have these too, i have nothing to compare them too given but they sound excellent to me! personally i don't really trust the what hifi 5 stars due to the amount of products that are given 5 stars, it seems about half the product reviewed get 5stars, i mean don't get me wrong, its a great mag but i don't think their ratings are very gd.

MonkeyDonkey, you may be right! I've seen some Eltax Bi-Polars that look very similar to the HT-2's but with only one tweeter. The Eltax guy told me they were long the lines of Mordaunt Short speakers, I think.

Thanks for the tip off, I've bought the rears along with a Sub10 for £60. They sound pretty good at the moment but they definitely need run-in.

    Cheers,
    Cal.
