    Are these speakers any good?
I'm considering a slight re-think of my system and I've come to think my JPW speakers are somewhat overkill. Changing the placement of the subwoofer also requires a re-think of the rears :)

Anyway... The HT-2s. Are they solidly built? What's the sound quality like? And how sturdy are they when fixed on the wall with the keyhole/screw?

They're available for £30 at RS now... Bit of a bargain!

    Thanks for any help

Are you sure the £30 ones aren't the micro versions? There are two types.

I have four HT2s as my side and rear surrounds for 6.1, and they work very well for me - despite the driver arrangement, they still sound very much like monopoles so give good imaging like point sources. I found using monopoles as rears caused some imaging problems - the sound from the rear seemed to be bouncing from the front of the room and gave the impresion it was coming from the front. Obviously an accoustics issue with my room, but changing to the HT2s cured that problem, so I swapped the side surrounds for HT2s as well.

What Hi Fi rated them very closely to the Mission surrounds that were very popular at the time, if that helps make your mind up. :)

Whats's the difference between the Micros and the others? Are they any worse?
I'm going to Richer tomorrow so a quick response is appreciated :)

I've not heard them, but I'm guessing they're smaller. :D

Try the Eltax website and see what the spec's are.

Hehe I'll just go for them I think. If they're in stock. If they're that terrible then I'll take em back. Doubt they'll be too bad for rears though.

I just want a little more seperation, and a pair of floorstanders was a bit of overkill!
