Maplin are selling Beech Eltax Milennium 300s 150w frontspeakers with a centre & rear speaker set to match for £149.99 (half price). I Don't know what these speakers sound like or if they are actually a bargain or not Can anyone help??

Also does anyone know how much it would cost to get a matching sub and should it be active or passive?

    Cheers, Johnny

Imho Eltax are among the better budget speakers ( i still have Liberty 3+'s somewhere), although i haven't heard the ones you are referring to i would imagine that for the price they would be ok.As for a sub, look here .hth

    So did you get them????????????
I mate at work ordered them on spec and say they look damned nice but he hasn't got a clue about how they sound or how a good set should sound......

If you have gone for them what do you think??? Is it worth dipping a toe in and getting them? Or does any one else know somewhere cheaper..

    Let me know,

    cheers:D
