Looking to add a sub to my system (not going mad as first time) have a possible second hand deal going for around 100 but looking about the price of the 10.2 Eltax seems to be approx 150-200, have come across one brand new for £100 is this a good val sub for this money????

Any help appreciated, I know that I should be spending lots more to get a cracking system but that is about all I can go to right now

if your budget can stretch a bit...the VELODYNE VX10, is [ i think] 200 pounds and will wipe the floor with your original choice.

Personally I wouldn't buy the Eltax but would buy something better second hand. There are some quite good Paradigm PDR subs that come up in the classified forum but unfortunately they are like buses and you see none for ages then loads come on the market at once.

I think I will go with your advice, there is a Jamo SW505 that seems to offer the sort of comparison to the Paradigm etc. (at least the reviews seem to suggest that)

I see that you've bought the Jamo and I'm sure that you won't be disappointed.

Yep, looked like a pretty good sub and worth the money (although it is a pretty hefty size!!!)
