Browsing one of the other forums, I came across a link to the Elonex Lumina - there are a few reviews that seem to rave about it but has anyone bought one?

For a bit over £2K you seem to get, if not quite the best, then pretty close to the best of both worlds. I'm trying to spot the catch (poor quality LCD, noise etc.) but it all looks pretty positive. Apparently Elonex will even upgrade bits of it for you as new technology becomes available.

Has anyone seen one in action and care to comment?

Yep, I've had my eye on this as well. I think twin digital tuners are immenent which would solve one of my gripes and HDCP HDMI connection is on its way as well (but later than the twin digi tuners). All this is in relation to the 40" beast but I hope they do the same for the 32" (or even better introduce a 26" version).

P.S. I've been looking for reviews of this on here as well, but everyone seems to have gone nuts over the Artisan, maybe the Lumina isn't bleeding edge enough for some people ;)

I'd prefer the DMSII over the Artisan...

I like this firstly cos its purely a gorgeous TV! Then the added benefit of the PC...

Is that knob on the keyboard in top right-hand corner the mouse?

Nice Keyboard with joystick mouse for HTPC (pictured with Elonex):-

I checked, its made by BTC.

Not too expensive, I froogled BTC keyboard, available on ebay for £28 delivered (No I am not the seller!!!!!!!!!!!!).

Trouble is now I've posted it might go out of stock :rotfl: .

    See one review here

    Anyone seen it cheaper????????

    EDIT:
I went ahead and got one from ebay, I think it is excellant. I am typing on it now. It is compact, no separate numeric pad, uses letter keys, via Numlock button. Plug and play, I have not loaded drivers yet, my existing kb and mouse still work in parrallel.
The joystick mouse is easy to use, handles, and ergonumic knee grooves actually work.
On my version, there is a slight asetic flaw on the edge of the clear plastic cover on the remote control buttons (web buttons, plus vol up/dn, mute, ffwd, rwd, play/pause, eject, sleep).
Recommended, and very cheap (I paid £21.54 delivered off ebay).

I'm looking at purchasing a wireless keyboard at the moment, and have come up with a few contenders:
Logitech diNovo or the Gyration Ultra.

I want a more "compact" keyboard ... dont really need the numeric keypad.

So still think either the Logitech diNova or the Gyration are the best bets so far...

The Lumina (32" version) with dual digi tuners and HDMI/DVI is definately in pole position on my shopping list. Had my eye on this since the first reviews came out in january but I've been waiting til the upgrades are fitted. Once these are available, I can't see any downsides. The (samsung) screen is excellent by all accounts and with the speaker mounted underneath rather than at the sides, the unit is a lot less intrusive than e.g the Hitachi 32" 7200. Being a mac user design is important and this comes close to my definition of beauty: a perfect marriage of form and function.
