First of all id like to say Ello! to all of you, ive been browsing the forums for a while now, and finaly got my bum in gear and joined :p

Im looking for a new reciever/amp to replace my aging Yamaha DSPA 595A, im looking for somthing which will excite and has great sound panning and placement, aswell as having a good sense of atmosphere (dont want much do i :)

Ive been looking at the Sony 1080, and the newer Yamaha's, ive wanted the sony for some time now but have read some stinking reviews, especialy the Yamaha vs Sony test.

Basicaly what do people on this board think of the Sony? for's and against. Im getting realy confused, and since i havent found anywhere where i can test ordition them im a lil stuck lol

    Any help/views will be appreciated

cheers (sorry its a lil long lol) :smashin:
