Elite & iPod problem

I connected my iPod to my Elite today via the USB cable and it showed up as "My iPod" fine, I could play all the tracks with no problems and even use the playlists I had made. I wanted to make another playlist, so I disconnected the iPod and then plugged it into my PC to sync with iTunes. When I re-connected it to the 360 it didn't show up as "My iPod" anymore, instead it said "Audiobooks". I can still play all the tracks, but I can't access the playlists anymore. I've tried downloading the Optional Media Update from the Marketplace, but that hasn't made any difference. I even restored my iPod to see if that would help. I found one other person with this same problem who had posted on the Apple support forums, but no one has replied. Does anyone here know the answer?

Update: I have since found a few more people with the same problem. It seems to be something to do with the latest iTunes 7.3 update.
