    A 3-hour game drive at Hwange National Park in west Zimbabwe was included in the three-day journey from Pretoria to Victoria Falls on Rovos Rail. Without doubt the stars of the shows were the elephants.

    Very nice. Did you try any with shallower DOF?

    Sorry, I didn't. Looking back I could have done but some shots were quite close and with the 80-400 I wanted as much as possible of the animals in focus.

    No need to be sorry :) it’s just an idea. There is someone living near me who goes on safari regularly, her site may give you inspiration for some different types of shots Moira Photography - African and Polar Wildlife Visions wish I could go too, hopefully one day.

    Moira certainly does have some stunning shots there! I hope you get to do a safari, I cannot wait for my next one!
