I downloaded the D80 plug-ins needed for both Elements 5 and Capture NX and have been using both problem free for some time now.
Until -
Last night I had a go at photographing the moon.
I took about a dozen pictures, experimenting with different shutter speeds, to restrict some of the light.
This morning I went to view them in Elements and got bright blue background and just a white blob for the moon. All extremely noisy.
This was odd as I'd been checking them on the LCD the previous night and, although nothing special, looked ok.
I thought it must be a camera problem but when I opened them in Capture they were coming out ok.
Anyone got a thoughts on whats going wrong on the Elements ?
