I'd like to ask all of you av enthusiasts about a matter which I have not seen discussed in regard to projectors as yet. Bulb life! So i've decided to buy a projector and enter the world of hard core escapism but the running cost of bulbs keeps me chained to reality. As a keen Hi-Fi nut, as some of you also may be, there is much talk about cleaning your electricity supply! For those that are unfamiliar with the concept its like this. Your electricity circuit in your house acts like a giant antenna that bicks up radio waves and other interferences. Additionally the electricity supply to your home may contain what are known as spikes, surges in power that you may have noticed when the dimmer switch is low. There are a number of other contaminants that I will not go into as I don't wan't to get overly bombastic. My question is this. Has anyone out there cleaned there mains supply to their projector. If so have you noticed an improvement in bulb life or picture quality? I'd really appreciate any thoughts on this subject as it could save all of us good people some hard earnt cash.
