It's been soundly panned on Rotten Tomatoes as well. However, you never know, and let's face it, it's Jennifer Garner.....

Call me crazy, but if I want to see some sex onscreen, I'll watch a porno. Watching a gawdawful action film just because it's got a hot chick in tight leather is pretty stupid, IMO.

    But that's just me.

    EDIT: 7% on RottenTomatoes!!!!!!!!!

Yes, but Paul Ross in News of the World gave it 4 beer bottles - so it must be good!

Me too! You know a film is a stinker, when it needs to use a quote from Paul Ross in the marketing...

King Arthur "...the best battle scenes ever!!!!" - Paul Ross  Still it probably flogged a few DVDs.

My mum insists on getting the News of the World, and when I pop around on Sundays I am always drawn to their movie review section....it's the source of much amusement - do I need help?

Awesome graphic novels though "Elektra : Assasin" and "Elektra lives Again" although the latter is more a Daredevil story (albeit a good one) and the later comics themselves were rubbish.

If they made the film faithful it would be along the lines of Kill Bill most likely. Jennifer Garner does actually look quite similar to the character I think though.

    Oh dear!!

I reckon Azrikam is correct. If you want to get your lallies off over some dolly pallone then go rent a porno or buy a copy of maxim.

I should have listened but no I spent 75 bob to watch what has to be one of the worst films of recent times.

I've recently seen Blade III and Alien vs Predator. Neither of which are modern day Shakespeare but at least they were watch able.

This film commits the cardinal sin of not only being utter bat guano but also takes itself far too serious at the same time.

well watching alias, you get plenty of chances to see JG looking sexy, but i still wanna see elektra, only for the red leather outfit obviously, but i'm as shallow as :censored: when it comes to movies ;)

a little bit disturbing that it kinda seems she got the idea of red leather from beniffer's character though, who must be the crappiest of all super heros.. or is that just me?

    No it's just you. :D

When Frank Miller created Elektra in the pages of Daredevil (around issue 180) she was dressed in red but it was more of swimming cossie with arm and leg straps with knee high boots and a bandana.

    Marc,

You only get to see the red outfit twice. Once at the very beginning and again at the very end so I hope you aren't expecting a feast of red leather action.

I'm afraid it is not good, really not good. It suffers from not being able to decide what it is - a drama or a superhero movie. It fails on all counts :(

I'm a huge Jennifer Garner (and Elektra fan) but this has very few redeeming features. Far too much time spent with characters moping around and very little action. Check out the trailer, that's about all the action in the movie.

It's a crying shame! However, my mate reckons Blade Trinity is worse - so if you liked that.....

So, in my opinion, it's worse than The Punisher and Daredevil, but still better than Batman and Robin (for what that's worth!!)

Oh and Paul Ross can keep his 4 beer bottles too!

I quite enjoyed it actually, not bad action but thought the black/white ninjas should of had a lot more screen time.

JG is an action girl and way better suited to this rather than your 13 going on 30 type rolls.

I got my fix of JG, so I was quite happy to see all the T & A shots :smashin:

I saw on E! New Live last night that Jennifer Garner had admitted to her ex, Michael Vartan from Alias, that the film was awful and she was forced into doing by her original Daredevil contract.

That would explain why she pulled a sickie to avoid doing any press junkets and chat shows before the US premiere.
