[Electrics] Extend light fixture wires

I'd like to hang this light bit without reducing the drop. Can I add additional wire to what is there already? If so, how?

Depends if you can disconnect the flex at the lamp end. If you can then you'll be able to buy a length of flex and rewire it.

You could use some connection (Chocolate) block and some wire of the same diameter.

can't see how I can open this up to replace the flex unfortunately.
