Not sure if this is the right place to ask this but:
I have 4 wall lights in my lounge on a dimmer switch but want to put a dresser in front of one of them.
The light fitting stands about 3" from the wall leaving the dresser well away from the wall, so I would like to remove the fitting and shade and terminate the wires safely (bearing in mine they will still be live behind the dresser when the rest of the lights are on.)
Any easy way to do this please?

Why noy get a light fitting, maybe a strip light and hide it within the dresser to light it from inside wired into the wall connection....?

I don't think I can do that, its an antique Victorian pine job unfortunately!
Any other solutions :lease:

Get a strip of terminator block from B&Q. Terminate the cable ends into it then tape up with insulation tape. Done.

Thanks Reggie, I was hoping it would be something simple like that :smashin:

It would also be a good idea to fit a blanking plate over it, even if you just stick it on with "no more nails"
