    Can someone please help!

I've just bought a second hand Da-Lite electric screen from another forum member but it's not coming supplied with a switch or remote control unit so I need some way to control it. Bearing in mind I've got no electrical knowledge at all can anyone suggest an easy and cheap way to get it up and running and where to buy the neccessary parts?

Thanks in advance for any help offered.

    Hi,

You don't need to buy a remote control set, if a rocker switch is all you're looking for.

Any switch which is used for roller shutters, sun blinds etc (basically any type of equipment which uses a tubular motor, as does a projection screen) can be used for a projection screen as well. Make sure you get a wiring diagram with it if you have no knowledge of wiring. You can probably buy these in DIY stores, or check with a specialised installer.

If you really can't find one, send me a message and I'll send you our version free of charge.

    Good luck,

    Otto

    Hi Otto,

Thanks, that's very kind! The guy I'm buying the screen off is hopefully sorting out a switch for me but if not I'll get back to you.

    Cheers,

    Tim
