    can i plug a electric guitar in my amp?i used to have a marshall years ago but sold it to fund my av gear ,i kept my rickenbacker guitar,and now have the urge to play it again.can i plug it into a input? if i get the right lead? i have a multi effects pedal so i can alter tone distortion etc,,,,,,,,,,,,thanks graham

    Guitar pickups put out a different signal level to hifi seperates so it won't work too well. You can probably get a coverter from someone but you may as well get a seconhand 10w practice amp as the results will be better.

    My mate at scool used to regulary blow up his dads amps and speakers this way.

    His dad gave up and bough him an combo in the end.
