As a big fan of Easy Rider I'll be getting this.

For those that don't know, this film is to Easy Rider what Rio Bravo is to High Noon.

Excellent, anyone know if is this going to be the R rated cut or the unrated version? I've put off buying the Oz version until this release came out, just in case.

I think the UK DVD (which uses the same original 1973 artwork) is the 'cut' version and the Oz release is the 'uncut' print so it's safe to assume we'll have the full version as we know it (ie a HD version of the MGM R1 DVD).

    Some comments (spoilers) http://www.dvdcompare.net/comparisons/film.php?fid=6926

The owner of the film in the UK (StudioCanal) obviously has no idea about the differences or has no access to any other print. It's a strange one really because the company that own international rights is UK based.

I quite like the artwork as it has a real 70s' vibe and it's original.

It's such a lovingly made, sad and thoughtful film you wonder how they ever got it past the financiers.

I think I'm speaking for everyone here including the Mod and Admin team, we have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

    :)

Defo associated it with the aforementioned soft-filth, but I genuinely did think it was a bluey

    Anyway, where's her bike?

*clicks on image, then 'save to camera roll'

Thanks Karlin, this film is particularly sought-after by fans of Chicago (the band) as it features cameos by Peter Cetera, Lee Loughnane, Walter Parazaider and the late Terry Kath.

The same cover is used on the CD soundtrack.

Anyone know the specs yet? The Australian release only has a Dolby Digital soundtrack. Hoping for something lossless here. The song 'Tell Me' sends shivers down my spine!

Does anyone know if it will have a DTS MA soundtrack? I will only upgrade from my R1 DVD if it has a lossless track.

It will be good if they are reliable - the regular price for catalogue stuff seems to be around £16/17 unless you can get it cheaper from an amazon seller.

Been using them very rarely but they always come through.

Just be careful and not order stuff with PayPal too far in front of release. Always used my CC (even when they were CDWow).
