Hi, does anyone know of a program or a way of fully getting rid of this elecard 2.1 mpeg player. Nebula recommended it previously for viewing an entire transport stream which had been recorded.
I downloaded the evaluation version and subsequently deleted it using its' own uninstall utility, and also deleted the file folder which had not been automatically uninstalled.
When I then watched an mpeg2 film using win media player 9, I kept seeing the bouncing elecard logo on screen with a message that my evaluation version had expired!
I did a search of my system for elecard and deleted any files which showed but it still kept on with this message.
    Help!!
    Rick

You should be able to manually unregister them in a DOS window.

    Use Regsvr32.exe to do this.
First find out the names of the actual files in the Elecard package
    (e.g. voc_bl.ax , Mpeg_vid.ax ).

Then type regsvr32/? to see the command line.

If you are trying to unregister voc_bl.ax then the command line is

    "regsvr32/u voc_bl.ax" (without the "" quotes).

I can't remember the actual Elecard codec names because I use them (with 2 PCI satellite receiver cards) on my other PC - not this one I am using right now.

    Hope this helps.

    Chris Muriel, Manchester.
