Anyone know a good place to buy Ekornes "stressless" chairs (preferably with an web site). Any deals going?

For those who don't know, Ekornes supply the big leather reclining chairs that you see in the likes of HCC's "Real Life" home cinema features. They are very, very good! Tried one (they only had one) at a local store - wonderful!
    Thanks,
    Paul

I know the type you mean, very good. But have you also tried www.lazyboy.com? Got a pair for us and they are great!
Sorry, can't help with the others.

Probably not a lot of use to you but I bought my Stressless chairs from Alan Ward of Shrewsbury. Good 0% finance deal and well treated by the staff and delivered on time. I went for the President model, slightly wider than normal to accomodate my big ass (he likes to watch films with me when the wife is out).

Ekornes have their own web site I believe.

TIP: Make sure you buy the attached side tables, you never seem to see those in the mags and they are great. I love the idea of Lay-Z-Boys but they are HUGE chairs to accomodate.

    Mart,
Hmmm, nice chair! Had a look at the Ekornes web site, quite a selection. Alan Ward is the kind of place I'm looking for - may I ask how much the chairs cost? Easy a grand each I would say.

Out of interest, what is the Ekornes website address please?
I want to see what's on offer as I only saw a select few when I looked for comfy chairs.
I know what you mean about the American colour schemes, I was horrified at the colours myself, until I went to a specialist dealer at www.anglia-recliners.co.uk and sat in a few. Luxury. Sorry to offend any Americans, but their colours are definately not to my taste either.

    www.ekornes.com

Yes, these chairs are just under a grand each but there are lots of different models and the type of leather you have makes a difference to the price. I went for the cheaper leather,

I purchased a pair of ekorness stressless chairs with foot stools about a year and a half ago from Kingdom of Leather in Reading. A year later I got a full refund and a apology. The first time they delivered they bodged the assembly and didn't deliver the foot stools, 5 months later new chairs again no foot stools, 2 months after that new chairs again no foot stools, a month later they delivered new chairs with foot stools, but the foot stools had the wrong colour wood. After I got the refund I bought a 2 seater leather recliner which is miles more cumfy and £500 less.

Requested catalogues to see the range at home as it were. Seem very nice indeed.
But my Laz-y Boy recliners are very comfortable.
