More like........................Eight Legged **** :thumbsdow :thumbsdow

I like the old types of these B movies but what a load of utter Tat!

Question: Did they use CGI for the spiders or did they get a couple of 3yr olds to draw on each frame of the film????

    Stace :D

    You didn't like it then?:D
I thought it was ok (but I did see it with my
eight year old nephew and maybe it was
watching the expresion on his face that made
    it so enjoyable!).:)

I loved it and thought that it achieved what it set out to do very well. If you were expecting a horror film then you may not have enjoyed it but as a low budget film in the style of Mars Attacks I found it very entertaining.

Yes. I have the R1 but it's out on R4 aswell.
Strangely, the BBFC classified a "making of" doc for it about 3 years ago, but the movie so far hasn't been released on DVD in the UK. Both the R1 and R4 discs are bare bones.

    I have this terrible affliction - I enjoy any B movie that's about Spiders:D

Technically "yes" as it's recorded in the Dolby Digital format, although it's 2.0 surround:rolleyes:

Yes, it's anamorphic. The R4 might be the better option as the R1's a little on the soft/grainy side. A PAL transfer may well sharpen it up a bit

8 Legged Freaks was fine in my book... it was all tongue in cheek b movie stuff and for some reason reminded me of Return of the Living dead Pt 1.

James, you've no doubt locked onto the barrel scenario.
I saw this earlier and agree that it's a dusting of good fun and nothing more. All those who expected some David Kronenberg mind twisting fear session clearly never read the label on the tin. It reminded me of some Scooby Doo/cartoon adventure with the clue to how the end battle would result very early in and the visual and sound effects of the spiders vs. whoever came in contact with them being under nines.
The early on cat in the drywall fight was classic fun and set the pace.
To be bought cheap and viewed when brain heading for REM.

I knew what I was gonna get before I viewed the film but it was still tat!!

There were a few good scenes and the cat scene was probably the best but the film just seemed to go on forever.........

You knew you wouldn't like it when you bought it but did so so's you could complain? This reminds me of the proverb about the man who bought a pile of horse dung expecting there to be a horse in there somewhere. But...
So, just not the tat you were looking for then. Know what you mean;)

    Encaser,

If you read my first post, I stated that I like B Movies, so I thought I was going to thoroughly enjoy it.

The fact that it was supposed to be tongue in cheek doesn't give the script writers, producers and directors the right to make a crap film!!!!

Unfortunately your proverb was wasted on me!

    Sorry
    Stace :D

    Stace mate,
if we take away the right of script writers, producers and directors to make a crap film then we'd only have good stuff and that'd be plain wrong:laugh:
