I have been looking for a Freeview/HDD/DVD solution for a while and have been waiting for release of the EH60D. I have a Panasonic TH-42PWD7 so have no other TV receiver. I don't see a single tuner as too much of a problem since I usually struggle to find _one_ program that I want to watch let alone two.

Anyway. Now that some of you out there have this machine could you answer a simple question that I have not been able to find out from the specs. That is: is it possible to get on screen Teletext out from the EH60D or is this something that I am going to have to forego if I go down this path.

    Thanks,

    Andrew

I've got the DMR-ES20D which is the same as EH60D without the hard drive and SD card drive. ES20D can receive digital text on BBC, ITV and Channel 4 by pressing the text button on the remote control.

Thanks, thats what I wanted to know. One step closer to getting one - would just like to compare it with the new Sony when it becomes available.

I have a similiar question about teletext.
If You record a program to the HDD,
is it then possible to read the teletext from this program,
actually the teletext from the date the program was recorded??

On S-Vhs is this possible because it records all "lines" in the transmission,
    even the teletext signals.
