Editing software query

Hi all just got an intel quad core pc last week not i3/5/7 it has 4Gb ram and 1Tb hdd
I couldnt get to grips with iMovie on my kids mac the other night and then 3 minutes on windows movie maker on the pc and I had rolling titles and audio

my question is which cheap editing software would you recomend that is easy to learn for win7 system

we have a sony sd cardcorder bought at xmas last but will be updating at year end to hd but maybe another make

Ther are all under £100 and all have different levels of ease of use

Pinnacle Studio is well ;liked . And rightly so it is powerful and is fairly easy to use
other like Corel ( used tobe ulead ) Video Studio.
Im not sure what its called now
I quite like Sony Vegas ( although I use the full version not the Movie Studio version which is pocket friendly)
Other title are by Cyberlink ,Serif, Magix Adobe Premiere Elements ( I ddnt like ver 7)
None will be as easy to use as WMM but it isnt that hard to get the jist of it
and they do have a lot more under thier belts ( than WMM)

Hoped you would pop up as I think you use this type of stuff a lot
I like paint shop pro for my so called photos so I will DL a trial of the corel stuff

not a fan of sony audio SW so maybe not their movieola stuff either
dislike adobe too

Corel bought over Ulead so dont expect a similar interface
Sony Audio is fine. I take it Sonic isnt your cup of tea,,

You are in a small club there. What I agree with is that thier GUI can be an aquired taste but have a look anyway.

Am liking the look of pinnacle to be fair
I will drop a trial of them all and see which fits me the closest

EDIT hey those sony tutorials are cool I have no patience with text learning (think I have ADD!! haha)
