The Panasonic HS2 DVD/HDD recorder has the facility to do some basic editing of material captured on the hard disc. But I was surprised to discover that while removing a section from a recording gives perfect and seamless cutting of the picture, the sound drops out for a fraction of a second at the edit-point.

Is the E30 similiar to the HS2 in this regard? And is there a way round the problem?

    Thanks in advance.
