I'm really stuck and have spent some time searching the forum for the answer to this but so far no luck.

I have a home recorded DVD (produced on my HS2) but want to re-record with a nice interactive menu using TMPGEnc DVD author (I've used this before to put digital camera videos on dvd so know it works fine).

Can I put my DVD in the pc and then just copy the files to create a new DVD with the dvd authoring software? There are 3 file types on there - VOB, IFO and BUP. The software doesn't seem to recognise them though  Do I need to convert them to mpg and if so which files do I need?

Can you tell I'm a bit lost here?!

I suspect this is the wrong forum but wondered if anyone else with a dvd recorder has tried this already?

    Thanks in advance.
