editing help please!!!!!

hi can someone please help??
my brother inlaw just came back off holiday where he done some video shooting , but in all his wisdom he managed to shoot part of his footage with the camcorder tilted horizontally now what i want to know is there any way of correcting this

Not a great problem - some editing programmes have the function built in - some need a plug-in - and there are some free programmes to do it. What editing programme do you use - maybe it can already do it - let us know and someone will know.

i have mgi videowave 3 se or adobe media studio i dont know what he has i would have thought the same as me seeing he has a sony camcorder as well

My wife did this one (bless her), and from what I can remember at the time, I was able to fix it in MS Movie Maker.

Virtualdub (google ) is very fast and has a rotate filter, so apply that to the source uncompressed AVI. Not sure what that's going to do to the resolution/aspect-ratio however...
