Sorry if this insults your intelligence - but the number of times I've done it:blush: - you have selected the DV input on the recorder?

Don't know the Philips machine, but on the Panny whichever input you select - AV2/3/DV or analogue channels - is shown on AV1 output.

    Hi Kev,
I have never owned or used a set top DVD recorder and therefore cannot offer much direct advise. What I can advise is to go to the Computer Video forums as they know the machine (review in Dec 2002 issue) and have used it to make DVD's from DV tapes.
The forums can be found via www.computervideo.net
Just follow the 'self help' link at the top left of screen.

Sorry to push you to another forum, but they are the real experts.

    Mark.
