I have spent too many hours looking for the ideal stock photo for my new website.

The closest I have found is the below picture:

http://www.istockphoto.com/file_clo...parts/120506_hand_on_a_shoulder.php?id=120506

However what I want is to have this sort of photo but with some "nail art" finger nails on them.... is there an easy way of taking the above photo (after buying it of course) and then merging in something like:

many thanks

Why not just copy the photo with a willing female volunteer?

shouldn't be too difficult. The nails are fairly well defined so relatively easy to isolate.

It might be tricky to actually match a photo of fake nails, so alternatives would be to either buy some and photograph them in the right light/angle to match the original stock, or to just use a 2D texture and paint it on?

Heck, we could probably have a little competition here to see what people can come up with..

Almost sounds like a plan ;)

I know someone to make the nails, it is just the willing female volunteer with long fingers etc that I am missing to just take the photo myself - unfortunately there are lots of stock photos which have great looking women in it that would meet the bill but all have natural/ unpainted/ poor nails or lots of photos with decent nails but either the wrong type of shot or not the right kind of looks
