Echo studio and Sky Q

I have just had an echo studio bought for me, and have used it as a soundbar via my fire cube.

I wanted to connect it to the Sky Q box (I'm aware that Sky only outputs atmos via hdmi), and was wondering if there is any other way to connect to use them together to just get a better sound than the TV (I have a phillips oled).

I have seen people mention a toslink cable, but no idea which one and whether it would connect to the TV or the sky box.

Any help would be much appreciated

Connect an Optical Digital audio cable between your TV Optical Out and the mini-Optical Input on the Echo Studio.

Connect the SKY Q box to the TV via HDMI.

Now whatever you are viewing on the TV (Tuner, Apps, external Source) will play out via the Echo Studio.
