Has anybody experienced their Echo or Echo Dots playing a random song purely on its own?
We had 'Can't help falling in love with you' playing around 2am on Sunday morning on one of the upstairs Dots and 'You are my sunshine' around 3am on an Echo this morning. Both were at maximum volume. I can rule out them being played through the app by somebody else and have seen various reports on the internet of the same but no conclusion as to why.
Just wondering if its happened to others here?

No, but have a look on the app when it does it next. It should tell you the last input it had.

And change your Amazon password. Whilst you're at it, whatever email address you use to set your Amazon (and other) accounts - change that too. And make sure it's different to every other password, as it's a bit of a master key.

It's probably just gremlins but it doesn't hurt to be cautious.

It's the middle of the night and they are bored - that's what happens when you have intelligent devices in your home and leave them to their own devices.

I suggest just leaving a large hammer next to it - it seems to get the hint.
