I wouldn't but thats just me.
Just noticed the listing doesn't state 576p

    PAL format
    60GB Playstation 3
    CPU - Cell Broadband Engine
    GPU - RSX
    Memory - 256MB XDR Main Ram, 256MB GDDR3 VRAM
    Hard drive - 2.5" Serial ATA (60GB)
    Input/Output - Four USB 2.0 ports, Memory Stick/SD/Compact Flash
    Communication - Ethernet, Bluetooth 2.0, Built-in IEEE 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi
Controllers - Wireless Bluetooth (up to seven)
    Resolution - 480i, 480p, 720p, 1080i, 1080p
AV output - AV multi-out, Digital optical, HDMI
    Disc drive - Blu-ray/DVD/CD player
    Sound - Dolby® Digital 5.1 (games), Dolby® TrueHD (Blu-ray movies

isn't that the UK "standard" resolution?

Most of it looks ok, but if you look at the sellers feedback, most of the things he's sold have been car bits or haynes manuals. Seems a bit bizarre that he's suddenly selling PS3's that he's bought in bulk. Try mailing him. :)

If it looks too good to be true then it probably is,.....my bet is that he has been selling junk to get his feedback up and do one big hit and away. Sorry to be negative but i've been had like this, just wish someone warned me...:(

Looks very dodgy to me. His previous items have all been a fairly low value and there's no transaction before March 07 (even though it says he's been a member since 2004). I just don't see how he could sell them at that around £130 under RRP, especially considering it's only been out 1 month!

I wouldn't touch it with a barge pole.

Rule of thumb on fleabay, if it looks too good to be true then chances are it is.

It has scam written all over it IMHO and I'd hate anyone to be ripped off.

Two people have already bought them perhaps wait a few days then email them to see if they have received them or check for feedback. Ask if you can collect even if you don`t want to thats a good feeler to see if its genuine or not.

I have put it in my favourites, will be interesting to see.
One of the buyers looks like it might be a mate though, lots of car stuff purchased and didn't see any PS related feedback.
The other one might be getting greedy :D ,looks like they have a PS3 already as they purchased games back on launch day,23rd March.

someone who'll not only sell a brand new one month old ps3 worth £425 (or £400 ;) ) for 290, but throw in an extra controller and and extra game for that price is in one of three scenarios

    1) selling stolen goods
    2) attempting to pull a scam
    3) 'mentally challenged'

i'd avoid if i were you

general rule that's a good one to go by - on ebay, if it seems too good, it's a scam

I know it says immediate payment required but mail the sellar and ask him if he would except cash on collection. If not than dont bother. I once had a sellar tell me that for me to pick the item up I must transfer the money into his bank account:eek:

He no doubt ended Auction early to guarantee eBay no closing him down.

He all so stated in the Auction up to 14 days for delivery - anuff time to do a runner

I emailed the seller saying that I worked for the police and was going to fax over his Auction to the authorities

    He emailed me back saying

"This message was sent after the listing closed.
    rallyautos is the seller.

these are bought in bulk at discounted dropshipping prices, which is perfectly legal m8
    regards
    rallyautos"

He seems to close his Auction each time after 2 sales for some reason, unless he decided end the auction this time because of my email.

I really haven't got a clue whether this is legit or not, any way I am not going to take this risk and if other people do on ebay then that's there fault at the end of the day.

Seems to have been left some feedback all ready for a PS3 sale so I haven't a clue.

Thats a nuff from me any way on this matter

He has had 1 possitive feedback from someone who looks like they bought a ps3 for £289. Could be a fix, prob got one of his mates to pretend to buy it.
