Someone kindly gave my 5 year old a DS with a couple of games. Only problem is they are a bit complicated for a five year old as there are lots of speech bubble type interactions in the games and being 5 can't read that well / make decisions.

Can anyone reccomend games that would be easy to play -

eg games where you just point and shoot / race a car etc...........

Mario Kart DS would be my number one choice for a 5 year old. Maybe Wario Ware Touched as well, once you've explained what they need to do it should be easy enough for a child.

Yeah, I'd second that vote for mariocart. Others my twin 5 yr olds like are (In order of popularity):

    1) Mariocart
    2) Lego Star Wars
    3) Bomberman
    4) Sonic Rush
    5) Dragonball Z (They just ignore the text and get straight to the fighting. :D)
    6) Monkeyball Touch N Roll
    7) Happy Feet

And they've got Diddy Kong Racing lined up for the Bank Holiday. :smashin:
