How can I get the sound from my TV out to my speakers via a 3805? So far I've tried connecting to the 'Audio In (TV)' on the 3805 yet it didn't work when selecting the 'TV Ext. In' mode... Am I missing something?

    Thanks,

    dEVS! ;)

May not help but I have 2805. Like you I route the L & R audio from TV to TV In. I then just select 'TV' as an input either on Function dial or via remote. I'm not sure what the 'TV Ext. In' setting is but maybe that's the problem (on the 2805 Ext. In is just for inputting decoded multichannel signals from another device).

Hi there adrianl and thanks for the reply mate!

On the function Dial when I select the TV option the display changes to 'TV Ext. In'. I've just noticed that I can change the modes of this to 'Analog' 'Analog Only' and 'Ext. In'. Yet it didn't work on any of these selling either?

    Any thoughts?

    Thanks!

Glad it's all working now - always the simple solutions you overlook isn't it?

Just checked 2805 again and it just says 'TV', so it prefers more concise descriptions to 2805!

I like using it for TV, except it really shows up what I previously thought was good sound (for a tv) on Viera when you switch back to sound directly from TV! For a few seconds it sounds awful by comparison then you get used to it...

Funny - I know what you mean, it puts your TV to shame very quickly! ;)

Thanks for the help and have a good weekend!
